  1. The Alpharetta Dillards at the North Point Mall was recently robbed of $10,000 worth of Lacoste shirts by three male suspects. Two entered the store at 6:00 p.m. and emptied four shelves of shirts into a trash bag while a third suspect watched at the store entrance. Store employees attempted to stop the theft and one worker was knocked down by one of the suspects. A black Nissan sedan was seen leaving the parking lot with the suspects and bag inside. (Appen)
  2. The City of Milton is having their annual Christmas tree recycling event on Jan. 7. You can bring your ornament free tree to the Milton High School baseball parking lot starting at 9:00 a.m. People from Casey Tree Experts and the Young Men's Service League will feed it to the "chipper). The first 100 people who bring a tree will get a free dogwood tree seedling! (City of Milton)
  3. A Marietta man has been identified as a suspect in the robbery of $10,000 in cash outside a car dealership in Roswell. Okwar Benedict met the suspect in Atlanta, and the suspect told him he could get a good deal on a car at a dealership in Roswell through a relative. Benedict met the suspect and his "cousin" in front of the Honda dealership on Atlanta Highway in Roswell with the cash. He thought something was strange, and attempted to leave the parking lot. The suspect then robbed Benedict at gunpoint. A dealership employee took a picture of the suspect and provided it to police. (Appen Media)

  • Due to the extreme the extreme prolonged cold, many pipes have burst. There are several things you can do to prevent ruptures. Keep the heat set to at least 55 degrees and have at least one faucet dripping. If the pipes freeze, shut off the water and try to melt the ice with warm air, such as a hair dryer. Afterwards, turn on the water slowly to determine if there any leaks; turn it off if you find any leaks or bursts. (City of Alpharetta)
  • Congratulations to Milton's eighth grade football team; they won a state championship!
