- The A in downtown Alpharetta is gone. Last month, the city acquired full ownership of the artwork and determined that the piece had not been constructed to be a long-term art installation. It was made of untreated plywood, and its once vibrant colors were created using low-grade paint. City Council and the Alpharetta Arts Commission are determining what to do to replace it. - Milton Parks and Recreation is thrilled to welcome its newest team member — Matthew Graney! Prior to working in Milton, Graney was the athletic coordinator for Cherokee County, where he managed the County’s sprawling, 4,000-plus participant youth basketball program, among other duties. There will be lots for him to do in Milton, as the newly named Legacy Park off Cox Road is reopening with two newly turfed, full-sized, multi-sport fields, and new equestrian-friendly features at Birmingham Park should open soon.
