Rotary Club of Alpharetta Gets Involved in Community Events
Alpharetta Rotary Club helped lead the American Red Cross Blood Drive and volunteered for the 5K foot chase with the PD's K9 department.
From The Rotary Club of Alpharetta: The Rotary Club of Alpharetta had a weekend filled with community philanthropy involvement on March 10 th and 11 th . The Rotarians helped lead an American Red Cross blood drive and volunteered for the Alpharetta Police K-9 5K Foot Chase.
On Friday, March 10 th , the Alpharetta Rotary Club worked with St. James United Methodist Church to plan, host and participate in the American Red Cross Blood Drive in the church’s Youth Fellowship Hall. Volunteers from The Mansions at Alpharetta Senior Living community also participated by handing out cookies and juice to donors.
On Saturday, March 11 th , Rotarians volunteered at the 2 nd Annual Alpharetta Police K-9 5K Foot Chase to help raise money for the Alpharetta K9 unit. Volunteers helped run the registration process and made sure the water stations were ready for the race participants, whether 2-legged or 4-legged.

“The Rotary Club of Alpharetta proudly supports both the American Red Cross and the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation. It is exciting that Alpharetta Rotarians were able to spend the weekend helping these civic organizations make a difference in the community, and making sure these groups reach their goals,” said Jason Binder, President of Rotary Club of Alpharetta.
