Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

  1. The holidays are coming soon and Santa will be visiting many locations in our area. He will be attending festivals, and stopping by places where you can have pictures taken. (Reservations may be required - please check in advance.) Santa and Mrs. Claus can tuck your little ones at the Hotel at Avalon! (Awesome Alpharetta)
  2. The City of Milton recently celebrating the reopening of Legacy Park. This property was purchased by the city in 2020 and can be used for lacrosse, soccer, football and baseball. There was a recent ribbon cutting ceremony that included the families of Philip Broome and Tim Lester. The park's name was inspired by these late members of our community. (City of Milton)
  3. Are you interested in learning what's happening in Alpharetta? You can attend the City Council meeting tomorrow evening, either in person or via live stream.   • Early voting in Fulton County continued to break records in the final days. As of Friday, 270,000 votes were cast in Fulton County, and 2.4 million in our state. If you're voting on Election Day, Nov 8, make sure to know where your polling location is. There are 249 polling places in our county. (WSB Atlanta)
  • The Alpharetta Fire Department recently put out a dumpster fire near a commercial building off of Brookside Parkway. It had spread to nearby brush and ground cover. Due to the quick action of the firefighters,there was no damage to the commercial property and no injuries. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
  • Make sure to set your clocks back as daylight savings ended early this morning. We will all have an extra hour of sleep and it will be lighter in the morning. Unfortunately, it will be darker early evening. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
