Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:
- Fulton County School redistricting is being planned due to imbalanced enrollment at schools in our area. Several schools in Alpharetta and Milton could be affected. There have been meetings open to the public to share the upcoming district plans and the final recomendations will start next month. (Fulton County Schools)
- The Alpharetta City Council approved plans for a new mixed -use development at the intersection of Westside Parkway and Windward Parkway. This property was formerly used by Hewlett-Packard. The plans includes new office space, retail, restaurants and residential units. (Appen)
- Mark your calendars for Milton Restaurant Week, which starts on November 4. Several area restaurants are participating including Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails, Olde Blind Dog, Campania, Six Bridges Brewing and Billy Allen’s. They will feature their most popular dishes along with unique cocktails. Visitors can enjoy new menu items at a discount as part of the event.(Milton Restaurant Week)

- Do you have documents that need to be shredded? The Chattahoochee Band is having a Shred Fundraiser at the Hooch Bus Loop on Saturday, Oct 29th from 10am-12pm. There is a requested donation of $5 per box, and all proceeds will go towards the Chattahoochee High School Band Booster Scholarship program. (Hooch Shred Fundraiser)
- Early voting for the general election has started! There are open locations in our area. Fulton County residents can vote anywhere within the county. (Fulton County Voting)
- Toys 'R' Us is coming back to our area! They are partnering with Macy's and will occupy space in several Macy's stores including the North Point Mall one. There will be special events this month including giveaways. (11 Alive)
- Bring your little ones to watch some scary movies at the Alpharetta Community Center, 175 Roswell St this Saturday. They can wear their costumes and watch Scared Shrekless at 7:00PM, followed by Coco at 7:30PM at the BOO BASH. There will be other festivities as well.
