- Fulton County will be funding $9 million for four infrastructure upgrades, and three are in our area. One project is extending sewer lines on Manning Drive, Pinetree Circle and Cold Creek Drive in Alpharetta. Property owners in this area will pay for connections from their homes. Also, water mains, hydrants, service lines and valves are being relocated as part of improvements to Webb Bridge Road. In addition, the county will fund relocating water mains in Milton along the intersection of Hopewell Road and Bethany Bend. These upgrades in our area will cost more than $3.8 million. - There will be a wine festival today in Cumming at the Cumming City Center. You can sample wines from over 50 wineries plus enjoy food, full bar and live music. "Music will be provided by local band Liquid Southern, a five-member female rock n’ roll band that plays hits dating from the 1960s through today, including Johnny Cash, Metallica and Widespread Panic." Festival proceeds will benefit The Place of Forsyth County. There will be VIP tent for higher quality wines and lunch at a discounted price. (Newsbreak/Explore GA)

From my notebook:
- King's Ridge Christian School's second graders benefitted from a competitive market event that was part of their economics unit. Their classes sold their own creations and had opportunities to purchase items from the other classes with fake money. This program helped them to understand the laws of supply and demand. (King's Ridge Christian School via Facebook)
- Be extra mindful of traffic regulations when driving at one intersection in Sandy Springs. Officers have issued 100 tickets at an intersection of Glenridge Drive north of Interstate 285 over the last couple of days! Most of the violations were for illegal U-turns. Drivers are reminded to watch the signs when using detours around the construction. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Would you like to enjoy a delicious dinner and support Midway Elementary School at the same time? You can take advantage of their Dream Dinners PTO fundraiser.
