- Here's an important update for GA 400 drivers — yesterday's article about lowering the speed limit to 55 in Alpharetta was incorrect. That change won't happen until later this year. GDOT is changing the speed limit signs back to 65 mph on the stretch been Haynes Bridge Road to north of Atlanta. (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
- Jim 'N Nick's just opened its 40th location at 5150 Windward Parkway, right in front of Walmart. They serve 12-hour, slow-smoked meats and sides, and donate to North Fulton Community Charities. "The restaurant is open every day, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 4:30-9 p.m. (10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday)." (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
- Soon it will be time to sign up for summer activities in Alpharetta! Registration will start on March 8 for residents and March 22 for non-residents. If you want to check your residency status ahead of time, call 678-297-6100. Scholarships are available; contact cthurber@alpharetta.ga.us for more information on them. - Roswell has decided to partner with other north Fulton cities in managing their own local elections, instead of having them managed by Fulton County. The other cities are Milton, Alpharetta, Mountain Park and Johns Creek. The reason these cities are making this change is that they believe they will save tens of thousands of dollars. Alpharetta and Milton have already approved this change. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
