Suspect Charged With Kidnapping, Raping Alpharetta Lyft Driver
The driver, who had been given a sedative, said the man stole her vehicle before kidnapping and raping her, public safety officials said.
ALPHARETTA, GA — A man was arrested Friday after being accused of kidnapping and raping a female Lyft driver last month, according to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.
Public safety officials said a woman on March 11 reported a man stole her vehicle after she picked him up, kidnapped and raped her. The woman had been given a sedative, public safety officials said.
Demarcus Johnson was arrested in connection with the case and was charged on suspicion of rape, kidnapping, aggravated assault and theft by taking, public officials said.
