  1. If you're planning to appeal your Fulton County Property Assessment, the deadline is July 24. If your property's assessed value changes, it could affect your tax bill for this year. "According to Fulton County, common grounds for appeals are value (the stated monetary figure doesn’t represent fair market value), taxability (a property is tax exempt, such as if it's owned by a nonprofit), and exemptions (existing exemptions aren’t reflected on the notice)." For example, homestead exemptions aren't shown on Fulton County assessments. You can make your appeals online at www.fultonassessor.org or by calling 404-612-6440. (City of Milton)
  2. Are you interested in getting some exercise and having fun at the same time? They will be held every Thursday from 7-8 p.m. from July 20 until Aug. 10. Sign up today! (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
  3. A home on Alpharetta's Tree Loft Road was recently robbed. A neighbor noticed shattered glass inside when she entered the house; she was watching the family's cat. The owner's suite had been ransacked; police are investigating the robbery. (Appen Media)
  4. The Milton Senior Center is hosting an event on July 18 at 10 a.m. called "Aging in Place." It's free and topics covered will include how to stay healthy and happy within your own home. The Senior Center is inside the Thomas S. Byrd Sr. House located at 15690 Hopewell Road. (City of Milton)
