Here are the top stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:
- Several cars were broken into recently in Alpharetta. The robberies occurred at Fairway Social, 240 S. Main St. and Foundation Social Eatery, 203 Roswell St. Thieves entered the cars by breaking car windows. Items stolen include purses, wallets and prescription drugs. Another burglary happened at Alpharetta Pappadeaux restaurant on Mansell Road. To date, no suspects have been identified. (Appen)
- Plans to replace turf at Webb Bridge Park's soccer field have been postponed due to plans to construct a new sewer system. Currently, the soccer field is connected to a failed septic system, and it will cost $875,000 to connect it to the Fulton County sanitary sewer system. Eventually, the sewer line will connect with the baseball restrooms, which are also on a septic system. These improvements will occur in the next couple of years. (Appen)
- Gas prices in our area dropped slightly last week; they are three cents lower than the previous week. The state average is $3.22 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline, which is 15 cents lower than the same week in 2022. Reasons for the drop include lower demand and crude oil prices.
