Walk & Roll For Rescue Raises Money For New Alpharetta Police K-9
The inaugural event will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at Waggy World Paw Park in Alpharetta.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The inaugural Walk & Roll for Rescue fundraiser will raise money towards the costs of preparing a new police K-9 to join the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.
The 3K walk/roll will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at Waggy World Paw Park at Wills Park. Alpharetta police are raising money to purchase a new police K-9 from the Throw Away Dog Project, which will have a booth to display some of their dogs and puppies in their training program to become police employees, military soldiers or service assistant dogs.
Registration details for the event can be found online. The price is $17 for an individual without a pet, $12 for a pet parent and $5 for a single pet. Money raised at the event will be used for the Throw Away Dogs Project to train the canine that will be working with Alpharetta police.

The Throw Away Dogs Project is a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit that rescues shelter and rehabilitates dogs, and trains them for employment in various capacities. You can learn more about the Throw Away Dogs Project by visiting its website.
