- There are many fun events taking place this weekend in our area; here is a list of a few of them. The Alpharetta Farmers Market is open today from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in downtown Alpharetta. There is a free concert this evening at Brooke Street Park in Alpharetta starting at 7:30 p.m., and the artists are Michael Logen and Emily Earle. Another event is the ACT1 Theater's performance of "Midsummer Night’s Dream" at the The Grove at Wills Park at 7:30 p.m. (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
- Are you interested in learning more about birds? You can go on a "bird walk" at Milton's Earth Day Celebration today; it takes place at 11 a.m. The entire celebration takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the celebration, you can also learn about other types of wildlife, bees, rescued animals and more! - Alpharetta's Wacky World playground in Wills Park will be redesigned with input from children in our area. The new design will include a dragon tower, obstacle course, wheelchair accessible merry-go-round and many other new structures. It will have improved safety, better accessibility, and it will be easier for parents and caregivers to watch their children. Citizens are encouraged to make donations and volunteer to make the project a success. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

- As a reminder, while you're doing a spring cleanup on your property, burning of trash and yard waste is not allowed in anywhere in Alpharetta. Yard waste includes leaves, brush, tree limbs and refuse. You could be fined up to $1,000 and have other penalties for breaking these laws. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
- Are you looking for a job this summer in Milton? The city's new summer day camp is looking for young men and women to work at the pool, indoors, at the courts, or anywhere else at Milton City Park and Preserve.
