  1. A woman driving over 98 miles per hour on McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek was arrested by Johns Creek and Forsyth County police. On Dec. 13, a gray GMC Terrain was speeding behind a Forsyth Sheriff's Office marked police vehicle. The GMC driver flashed high beams at the police, passed them and then tried to evade both the Johns Creek and Forsyth County police. Later, the GMC was found crashed on Jones Bridge Road near the intersection with Douglas Road. The driver was transported to Northside Hospital Forsyth and admitted that she had been drinking and smoking marijuana. (Appen)
  2. Our region will soon have the coldest temperatures of the year through this weekend due to an artic blast. Remember to dress in layers, protect your hands, wear a hat and watch out for frostbite. With frostbite, your skin will appear white/gray, and you may lose feeling. If that happens, go inside as soon as possible and soak the area in warm water. Here is a link to more helpful cold weather tips. 3. Did you know that texting while driving can make the chances of getting in an accident 23 times higher? In addition, it's against the law. Help keep yourself and others safe by not using your phone while driving. If you must do so, please pull over in a safe place. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
