2 Athens Restaurants Named to Georgia's '100 Plates' List
Two restaurants in Athens have made Georgia Tourism's 100 Plates Locals Love list.

ATHENS, GA -- When you think about Athens, especially on the regional scene, red and black comes to mind, as in Georgia football. But that may change after two local eateries got some much-deserved state recognition.
Georgia Tourism's 100 Plates Locals Love list placed Athens eateries Home Made and The National in its Historic Homeland category, an odd to good food down right.
The 100 Plates list gives visitors to Georgia a hand in choosing restaurants that represent the area's culture and locally sourced foods. One makes the list unique is that rather than judging entire eateries, the list provides specific dishes that are unparalleled.

At The National, the Boquerones is a winner. "This is a classic Spanish tapa done right here in Athens, Georgia. It rules and pairs perfectly with a glass of rosé," Erin W commented. The eatery is located at 232 W Hancock Avenue.
