Alleged Child Molester Contacted Victims on Facebook

An accused child molester is said to have contacted his two young victims on Facebook by sending them photos of himself and comments after he exposed himself to them and did lewd acts with his genitals.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Michael Allan Howard, 23, had contact via Facebook with a 13-year-old girl and her 12-year-old cousin after exposing himself. Howard didn't use his real name on Facebook but identified himself as James Newton.

Athens Clarke County Detectives obtained records from both Facebook and Charter Communications to determine that Howard was actually Newton, the story says. 

According to the story, Howard was charged with two felony counts of child molestation and two misdemeanor counts of public indecency. He is being held without bail at the Clarke County Jail.
