Ansonborough Alive! Brings Out Friends and Neighbors for Music, Food, Fun

Good music, nice weather, yummy food--all you need is a lawn chair.

Friday night marked the second in a series of free concerts in Ansonborough, a mixed use complex on Gaines School Road at Cedar Shoals Drive.

Musicians Tommy Jordan and Williams Tonks, of MrJordanMrTonks, provided two hours of toe-tapping music, prompting some folks to take to the dance floor. Beau Shell, Lil Ice Cream Dude, was giving away ice cream, Edible Arrangements offered chocolate covered fruits, and Mirko Pasta was giving out water and tiramisu. There was also pizza and other food.

Chuck Galis, who developed Ansonborough, says there are two more concerts coming up: Betsy Franck will play on the 18th, and Adam Klein will be on the 25th. All concerts are free, and the event runs from 6 to 8pm.
