The National Weather Service of Peachtree City has issued a tornado watch for Clarke, Oconee, Jackson, Madison and Banks counties in northeast Georgia.
Six counties in north central Georgia are also included in the watch, which is in effect through 4 p.m. on Friday.
This means "conditions are conducive to the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area."
