Convicted Felon From Tifton Arrested on Grounds of Fowler Drive School

Around 11:20am on October 29, Athens Clarke County Police officers responded to Fowler Drive Elementary School to reports of a suspicious person.
There, they encountered Larry Michael Yearwood. He told them he was at the school to visit someone who wasn't expecting him
.
Police found out that Yearwood, 64, of Tifton, had a firearm in his vehicle. He was arrested and charged with Weapons on School Property and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.Â
