High School Wrestler Faces More Charges in Hit-and-Run Incident
One of the victim's vertebrae was rendered useless.

On June 17, about 7am, JensΒ Dressler was riding a bicycle on a sidewalk off South Lumpkin Street near his home on Jolly Lane.Β At South Lumpkin and Gran Ellen Drive, a car veered off the road, jumped a curb and hit Dressler. Police sayΒ Jace LeamonΒ McColskey of Jefferson was driving.
Dressler, 47, sustained a spinal fracture and other injuries, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.
He was at firstΒ charged with DUI, hit-and-run, reckless driving and underage consumption of alcohol, but a recent indictment in Clarke County Superior Court meansΒ McColskey also facesΒ three felony counts of serious injury accident, the story says.

According to the story, after McColskey, then 17,Β hit Dressler, he left the scene. He was arrested on Prince Avenue by a police officer who stopped his damaged car.Β
The story says McCloskey posted a $9,000 bond and was released from the Clarke County Jail.
