Madison County Man Arrested for Threatening Fries-Retrieving Customer at McDonald's

Around 3am on Thursday, a customer at a McDonald's on U.S. 29 realized he hadn't gotten all the fries he ordered, so he returned to the drive-through window, driving around another car to do so.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, the customer told police that Dane Noell Perry, 44, the driver of the other car, started cursing and pulled out a black, semi-automative pistol and pointed it at him. Perry threatened to blow the customer's head off if he didn't get out of the way.

The customer moved his car, the story says, and Perry drove toward Madison County, where he lives. A Georgia State Trooper stopped Perry's car on U.S. 29 north and saw the pistol on the passenger's seat.

In custody, Perry told authorities he felt as though he were being "screwed," the story says. He told police that he blew his horn at the man who cut in front of him, and pointed his gun because he thought the man, too, had a weapon.

He was charged with aggravated assault and DUI, the story says.
