Man Flags Down Police, Who Then Arrest Him

A man who flagged down Athens Clarke County Police officers was amazed when they responded and subsequently found illegal drugs.

According to a story in the Athens Banner Herald, Kenyotta F. Johnson, 22, was standing with a group of others when he flagged down three police officers traveling in an unmarked police car on Gressom Street. 

The officers noted that Johnson was "astounded" that he had brought over the police, the story says. They found a bottle containing cocaine, marijuana and Ecstasy.

Johnson was charged with possession of the drugs and loitering, the story says. Devon Shomon Freeman, 25, was charged with loitering. This incident happened on Thursday.
