Man Gets in Argument, Starts Shooting

No one was injured when the man opened fire at a Northeast Clarke home.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at a traffic stop after leaving a party where he'd fired a gun several times during an argument, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

Darren Devalle Townsend faces charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and criminal damage to property. He's accused of firing at least once at the Woodbridge Circle home where the party was taking place, and three times into a car belonging to the man he'd argued with.

The paper reports that the suspect called his adversary and threatened to kill him while officers who'd come to investigate listened to the conversation.
