Men Demand Money from Teenager, Then Beat Him

A 15-year old boy told Athens Clarke County Police that while he was walking to the store, he was approached by seven black men behind the Board of Education building off Mitchell Bridge Road.
He said one of the men demanded his money. When he told them he did not have any money, the men jumped him and beat him up.
He sustained a cut over his eye and knots to the back of his head. EMS responded and transported him to Athens Regional Medical Center. This occurred around 1:30pm on September 7.
He described the suspects as being 17 to 25 years old, wearing shorts and t-shirts.
