Movies, Markets and Macs--This Week is Stuffed Full of Events!

These are just a few things going on this week. Enjoy!

Monday, November 11th   Happy Veterans Day!
Major Jerry Cushenberry will speak at the observance of Veteran's Day at Oconee Hill Cemetery at 11 am. Major Cushenberry is a native of Athens and grew up in an Air Force family. A UGA graduate, he was commissioned as an Air Force officer and earned his wings through pilot training at Columbus AFB in Mississippi.

At 7pm, there's a screening of the movie "Bayou Majarajah" at Cine. 

On Tuesday, November 12th, why not take Tour at Two in the Georgia Museum of Art?

At 4pm, you can stop by the West Broad Farmers Market, located at the old West Broad School on Broad Street.

Author Michael Sugich signs books at Avid Bookshop, beginning at 6:30pm. 

EcoFocus Film Festival is one of those sponsoring a free 7pm showing of "Trashed" at Cine

At 7pm, in the CoffeeShop of Athens, the Common Ground LGBT community will hold a game night and try to raise funds for a community center.

Wednesday, November 13th
At 10am, you can learn at Peach Mac how to operate your phone since you've downloaded the new 1OS 7 operating system. 

Rabbit Box storytellers meet at the Melting Point at 7pm for a night of 8-minute stories on the theme of "home." Come and be entertained.

Thursday, November 14th
Commissioner Mike Hamby reads to children in honor of Recycling Month. He does so at Avid Bookshop, at 10:30am. 

At 4pm, you can hear an international human rights expert speak at the UGA Chapel about Muslim Fundamentalism.

At 7:30pm, the Athens Creative Theater presents Disney's Aladdin Jr., at the Morton Theater.
