NaNoWriMo: A Novel Idea for Writing a Novel

Everyone has at least one novel inside them. No, that's not indigestion.

By Rhiannon Eades
Announcing the end of the “one day I’d like to write a book” novelist: the Athens-Clarke County Library invites teens ages 11 to 18 to take part in National Novel Writing Month this November, known to participants around the world as NaNoWriMo.

NaNoWriMo is a writing adventure where people of all ages crank out a 50,000 word novel in only 30 days. The library invites teens to join in for NaNoWriMo writing meet-ups at the library every Thursday in November from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Participants can bring their own laptops or use one of the library’s computers to write their potential masterpiece.

For more information, please visit or call the Teen Services department at (706) 613-3650 ext. 329. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens
