Riverbend Parkway Resident Pursues Burglary Suspect

A man said he was in the bedroom of his Riverbend Parkway home around 1:30pm on October 15. He said he heard a loud bang.
When he came out of his room, he saw that his front door had been kicked in. He looked out the door and saw an unknown black man peeping from around the side of the building.
The resident said he went inside and out the back door in attempt to go around the building and catch the suspect. By the time he got to the side of the building, the suspect was running away.
The resident said he chased the suspect but could not catch him. He returned to his home. A few minutes later he saw a man who looked like the suspect get in a vehicle parked in front of his residence.
He went out to confront him and the man pushed him away as he started the vehicle. He them drove away. No further description was given of the suspect or vehicle. This incident was reported about two hours after it occurred.
