The Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services will host its annual Scary, Oozy, Slimy Day on Saturday, October 19 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sandy Creek Nature Center.

Families are invited to spend the afternoon at the Nature Center learning about the slippery, the slimy, and misunderstood creatures. There will be games, crafts, interactive activities, and the opportunity to see and touch live animals such as snakes and hissing cockroaches.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes. Food will be available for purchase from local vendors.

The fee is $3 for Athens-Clarke County residents and $5 for non-county residents. Children under the age of three are admitted free of charge.

Pre-registration is not required. Sandy Creek Nature Center, located at 205 Old Commerce Road, is a facility of the Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services.
