Thieves Make Off with a Case of Frozen Chicken
Plantation Buffet does a brisk lunch business.

Between 1pm onΒ September 29 and 8:30am onΒ September 30, Plantation Buffet, atΒ 1119 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, was burglarized. Someone broke down the back door, said Midge Gray, who works the cash register in theΒ restaurant run by her husband, Keith Gray.Β
The thief or thieves made off with a case of frozen chicken valued at $70, said Midge Gray. Whoever came into the restaurant could have taken milk or salt or something else, but they took only chicken. Midge wasn't sure how many pieces of chicken are in a case.
She said that whoever broke into the restaurant also pulled off the electrical meter on the back of the building, "probably to disable a burglar alarm system," she said.Β
