UGA Student Robbed on Lumpkin Street

The UGA student wanted a ride to the Baptist Student Union on Lumpkin Street.

From the UGA Police Website:Β Early Sunday morning, a UGA student was walking south toward campusΒ when a white, four-door sedanΒ stopped and the three occupants offered him a ride. They headed towardΒ his destination, the Baptist Student Union on Lumpkin Street.

As he started to get out of the car,Β one of the passengers produced a handgun and robbed the victim of his cell phone and wallet. Β 

The student described the three as black men, aboutΒ 5’10” to 6’ tall, with slim/lean builds. The driver had shoulder-lengthΒ dreadlocks and wasΒ wearing a white t-shirt.Β  The front seat passenger (who produced the handgun) also had shoulder length dreadlocks and wore a dark navy or black t-shirt.Β  The rear seat passenger had a short afro.

* be extremely cautious of your surroundings. Β
