Water Festival, West Broad Market, Film and Clips

Why not start your weekend with some jammin'? Baby jammin.' The Athens Clarke County Library hosts Baby Music Jam on Thursday at 10:30am. It's time to let your littles rock out.

The Georgia Museum of Art continues its Fashion Film Series at 7pm with "Girl Model," a disturbing look at a model recruiter and the 13-year-old she finds in Siberia.

On Friday, at Terrapin, there's a fund-raiser for the Athens Human Rights Festival, with beer and music by Kick the Robot. Commemorative pint glasses are $10.

There's another New Town Revue at Avid Bookshop on Saturday, beginning at 6:30pm. The lineup includes Ari Lieberman, fiction; Thibault Raoult, poems; Kara Kildare, music.

Once again, New Belgian Clips Beer and Film Tour comes to the Lyndon House on Friday at 7pm. The chosen films include mastering the technique of dice rolling; the quest for the ultimate full moon shot; a duel to be the hippest hipster; and homebrewing in a small New York City apartment.

The West Broad Farmers Market is Saturday at 10am. There will be children's activities, horseback riding, health screenings and a cooking demonstration.

On Saturday at 10am is the Athens Water Festival at Sandy Creek Park, whose theme is Clean Water. Live Better. You'll have a chance to participate in interactive games, explore trucks, meet animals and listen to music. You can swim in the lake, canoe, or learn the art of stand-up paddle boarding. 

There's a Second Sunday Community Celebration at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. There's lot of music and a light supper.
