Barrow County Habitat for Humanity to Participate in Nationwide Initiative
The group will renovate and update an existing house as part of the effort.

Barrow County Habitat for Humanity has announced it will take part in the newly created Veterans Build program. As part of the program, Habitat affiliates help provide housing as well as employment and volunteer opportunities for those who have served and are serving in the United States military.
As part of its effort, Barrow County Habitat for Humanity will renovate and update and existing house on Elm Street.
βItβs staggering, how many of our brave service men and women are homeless or struggling with housing costs,β said Dawn Puckett, Board Member, Barrow County Habitat for Humanity in a released statement. βWe are committed to developing and implementing a plan that will extend Habitat opportunities to our local veterans and military families. We have not forgotten them or the sacrifices they have made in service to our country. Itβs our privilege to serve them now.β
