Child Who Died after Falling from Father's Work Truck Identified

The Barrow Journal reports that no charges will be filed related to the accident.

A work truck coasting backward in neutral gear crushed a 4-year-old boy who slipped while riding on its passenger side bumper on Sept. 10, WSB Radio reports said earlier this week. 

According to the , the child has been identified as Xavier Franklin of Auburn. The driver was 28-year-old Robert Franklin of Mount Moriah Road. The boy and his 7-year-old brother had been riding the six-wheel truck after repeatedly asking their father to let them, Gordy Wright of the Georgia State Patrol told the radio station.

The Barrow Journal reports that no charges will be filed related to the accident.
