Front Door Sign: Barrow County Deputies Not Welcome

Unknown individual used dry erase board to leave a message for authorities.

A Barrow County deputy dispatched to investigate a 911 hang-up call was unable to make contact with the caller, but did receive a very clear message.

The deputy responded to the Doc McClocklin Road residence on the morning of Oct. 29. Upon approaching the front door, the deputy saw a message written on a dry erase board hanging on the front door of the residence:

"Barrow CO deputies NOT welcome without GSP Georgia State Patrol"

The deputy, who could hear a television playing inside, knocked on the door of the home several times and announced his presence.

"I was unable to make contact with anyone at the residence. Everything around the residence appeared normal and I did not observe anything out of place while at the residence," the deputy noted in the report.

No further action was taken.
