Help a Local Nonprofit Receive Donations During Upcoming Area Event

A Lawrenceville area nonprofit is helping other nonprofits through an upcoming event, and a Barrow County-based organization could benefit.

Proceeds from the annual Spring Green Festival, hosted by the nonprofit organization New Lawrenceville, are given to a local charity, and this year, New Lawrenceville is asking for nominations and votes on which charity should receive those funds.

Peace Place, an area shelter that assists battered women and their children in rebuilding their lives, is asking you for your vote. To cast that vote, click here and scroll down to find the "Nominate Your Charity" button. Click that, then enter Peace Place Inc. and the e-mail address peaceplace@peaceplaceinc.org in the form. 

"The more funds we can raise, the more services we can provide to the victims and survivors of domestic violence!!!" the Facebook post asking for votes reads.
