Missing Child Located Unharmed
The 4-year-old female was reported missing Monday morning.
A child reported missing Monday morning, Aug. 26, has been found.
The 4-year-old female was reportedly taken by her biological father on Sunday, Aug. 25. According to Lt. Matt Guthas of the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, the child was allegedly taken from another family member without permission.
"Upon receiving the report Sheriff’s Investigators immediately began investigating the case and following leads," Guthas wrote in an email to media outlets. "At approximately 1430 hours, Barrow Sheriff’s Investigators located the juvenile in Forsyth County. The juvenile was safe, unharmed, and in the custody of her biological father."
The incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time, Guthas added.
