'Come As You Are, Come Who You Are': New Church Holding Grand Opening Service on Sunday

You might have seen the postcards in your mailbox — a new church offering a new experience to Barrow County residents with a "come as you are, come who you are" atmosphere. 

Story Church invites you to attend its grand opening service at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 17. The church meets at Yargo Elementary School in Winder under lead Pastor Jared Mehrle.

"Our mission is helping people find their place in God's story and it's really just simply that we are all part of God's story," Mehrle said. "That's really what we're all about." 

Mehrle moved to Bethlehem in August 2012 with the intention of starting a church similar to New Community Church in the Braselton/Hoschton area. Mehrle said Barrow residents were driving to New Community and wanted a place of worship of their own. The churches are under the church planting organization Stadia, and Mehrle expects upward of 100 attendees on Sunday.
