Statham's 'Little Free Library' Ready for Readers

The goal of the project is to encourage more people to read for sheer pleasure.

Statham now has a library where people can borrow books 24/7 without worrying about due dates or even a library card.

The "Little Free Library" was built by Statham residents Richard Pepper and Jim McCutcheon and painted by the 10-year old Allie Tarpley, of Auburn, Ala., the granddaughter of Statham resident Sylvia Tarpley.
