24 Arrested In Massive GA Drug Bust
Twenty-four people are accused of distributing various drugs across multiple Georgia counties.
BUFORD, GA — A drug bust of a trafficking ring in Gwinnett County netted 24 arrests and the seizure of various drugs and guns, authorities said Tuesday.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said multiple law-enforcement agencies conducted the raid in August. They were investigating Adrian Bernard Butler, accused of leading a multi-county drug trafficking organization, authorities said.
They said the organization trafficked fentanyl, cocaine and crack cocaine throughout Buford, Flowery Branch and Gainesville in Gwinnett County.

Additionally, the operation covered Forsyth, Jackson, Habersham and Lumpkin counties, as well as areas throughout northeast Georgia, authorities said.
Fentanyl, 1 kilogram of cocaine, crack cocaine, multiple pounds of marijuana and eight firearms were seized in the police probe, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday.

"Law enforcement is actively investigating multiple fentanyl overdose deaths connected to the Butler (drug trafficking operation), and additional charges are imminent. Evidence from this investigation is expected to generate leads on outstanding opioid overdoses and ongoing drug trafficking cases," Gwinnett County authorities said in a news release.
Authorities have released the names of the arrestees and their charges as follows:
- Adrian Bernard Butler, 38, of Buford: charged with two counts of trafficking fentanyl, violation of the Georgia Racketeer and Influenced Corruption Act, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, VGCSA schedule 1, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- John Raymon Thompson, 40, of Buford: charged with three counts of trafficking fentanyl, violation of the Georgia RICO Act, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon,VGCSA schedule 1, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony, tampering with evidence and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Erron Lamar Butler, 39, of Buford: charged with charged with violation of the Georgia RICO Act, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Cedric Terrill Blockum, 46, of Flowery Brach: charged with violation of the Georgia RICO Act, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Reginal Marques Henderson, 39, of Buford: charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, violation of the Georgia RICO Act and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Christopher Mario Brown, 33, of Lawrenceville: charged with three counts of trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, violation of the Georgia RICO Act, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Roderick Dorsey, 44, of Buford: charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, violation of the Georgia RICO Act, use of a communication facility during the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Jarmarcus Cantrell, 32, of Buford: charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects and three counts of financial transaction card theft.
- Holly Anglin, 52, of Duluth: charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, defective taillights and failure to signal lane change.
- Samantha Spillers, 57, of Lula: charged with possession of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence and possession of drug related objects.
- Russell Talbot, 64, of Dahlonega: possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl and brake lights requirements.
- Shareese Bell, 21, of Buford: charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug related objects.
- Matthew Reynolds, 41, of Gainesville: charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects and improper lane change.
- Ashley Phillips, 34, of Buford: charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Darius Darrell Walker, 30 of Buford: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and probation violation.
- Kelly McGinley, 61, of Gainesville: charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony and use of a communication facility in commission of a felony.
- Joseph Wade Willis, 52, of Sugar Hill: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Mellissa Friel, 49, of Sugar Hill: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Alexis Parson, 24, of Cumming: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal attempt to commit a felony and use of a communication facility in commission of a felony.
- Daniel Dara So, 49, of Sugar Hill: charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony and use of a communication facility in commission of a felony.
- Bryah Capers, 32, of Buford: charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
- Dimple Surani, 30, of Dacula: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Stefan Darie, 35, of Dacula: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
- William Pete Bachelor, 44, of Maysville: charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
