Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested In Buford

Gwinnett County Police said the man showed a gun and demanded cash from the register of a Buford Drive business before fleeing the scene.

BUFORD, GA — Police say they have arrested the man accused of recently robbing a Buford business at gunpoint.

Gwinnett County Police on Wednesday said 26-year-old Buford resident Samuel Norman is being accused of robbing a business in the 2600 block of Buford Drive on Jan. 27.

After allegedly brandishing a gun, police said Norman demanded an unknown amount of cash from the register before running from the scene. Officers searched the area but could not find him at the time, police said.

However, while speaking with residents on Tuesday, police said they saw Norman leaving a home.

He was arrested and charged on suspicion of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail, police said.
