It's a special day. Buford High School seniors will graduate at 7 p.m. Friday, May 24, in the gym. About 186 seniors are eligible to graduate. Diplomas will be presented by Dr. Geye Hamby, superintendent of Buford City Schools, and Phillip Beard, chairman of the school board, assisted by Principal Dr. Banks Bitterman. Grant Hall, son of Stuart and Kellee Hall, is valedictorian of the Class of 2013, and Nicole Guillen, daughter of Aida Guillen, is salutatorian. Buford High School is located at 2750 Sawnee Ave. An Inspiration Service was held at the Buford Fine Arts Center Wednesday (May 22) with Head Football Coach Jeff Simpson as the speaker.
