Buford Man Arrested On Drug, Gun Charges

BUFORD, GA — Authorities say they have arrested a Buford man on drug trafficking and gun charges.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Monday said they arrested Marvin Stanley Cottrell, 59, on charges of trafficking cocaine and firearm possession by a felon after executing a search warrant Friday at his Buford home.

During the search, the GBI said authorities found about 5 ounces of suspected cocaine and a gun.

Authorities did not release further details. Gwinnett County Jail records showed Cottrell is being held without bond.
