Buford Restaurant Goes from 'U' to 'B'

A Buford restaurant that received a "60/U" rating in July has rebounded with an "86/B" rating in August.
El Molcajete Mexican Restaurant No. 3 on Hamilton Mill Road received its latest rating on Aug. 8 from the Gwinnett Health Department.
Among the violations noted in the latest report.
Container of salsa was not cooled to 41F within 6 hours. Salsa was made last night; it was 47F in the center & 45F at the edge. Salsa discarded at the time of inspection. Cooked potentially hazardous food (time/temperature control for safety food) shall be cooled: (i) Within 2 hours from 135°F (57°C) to 70°F (21°C); and (ii) Within a total of 6 hours from 135°F (57°C) to 41°F (5°C).
