Corn Maze Offers Free Saturday Admission for First Responders

BUFORD, Ga. – The Buford Corn Maze is offering free admission to first responders and their families this Saturday, Sept. 11th, in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks on America.

“It’s our way of giving back and saying thank you to all our brave men and women who are the first to arrive at any emergency,” Buford Corn Maze Owner Rodney Miller said. “We hope they will come to the maze on Saturday and enjoy a special family outing on us.”

Firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, military personnel and any emergency responder will be admitted free along with their family. The corn maze is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

The free admission is part of several recognitions this season at the Buford Corn Maze in honor of all who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The five-acre corn maze literally has “9-11” and “Never Forget” cut into the maze area as this season’s design. Just outside the maze property, a Twin Towers display of two large hay bales stands as another symbolic reminder.

First responders and their families will have plenty of activities to enjoy this weekend. While navigating the corn maze is the main attraction, there is even more fun, including hayrides, two popcorn jumping pillows, a farmer’s combine slide, farm animal viewing area, pumpkin patch, toy duck races, pony rides and an expanded Kid’s Corn-er play area.
