Fall 2013 Plant Sale Begins Soon at Gwinnett Tech

Several types of grasses, shrubs and plants are offered.

Attention, gardeners: A widely known annual Gwinnett event is near.

Gwinnett Tech in Lawrenceville soon will hold its 2013 Fall Plant Sale, according to a news release. The yearly event will offer a variety of flowers, shrubs, grasses and herbs. All plants are sold by the students who grew them, the release said.

Among the offerings:

  • Pansies and violas ($10 annual flats)
  • Gardenia (Chuck Hayes, August beauty, radicans and more)
  • Japanese maple
  • Oakleaf hydrangea
  • Fall herbs and vegetables (Romaine lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cilantro, collards, parsley, bok choy).
The sale will run Oct. 15-17, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. It will be held at the greenhouse next to Building 600 on the Gwinnett Tech campus, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, 30043.
