FedEx Truck Crashes Into Gwinnett Home, Injuring Person

A Gwinnett home was heavily damaged after a FedEx truck crashed into the front of it, injuring someone, fire officials said.

BUFORD, GA — A person was seriously injured Tuesday after a FedEx truck crashed into a Tattersall Terrace home, Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said.

Firefighters were dispatched around 4 p.m. to the home in the 5700 block after being notified that not only had the delivery truck run into the house, but also the driver was laying on the ground, fire officials said.

It is unknown what led the truck to crash into the house, but fire officials said the crash comprised the integrity of the house's structure and caused heavy damage to the front of the house.

An unknown number of residents were inside of the home at the time.

One person was taken to a hospital in serious condition, fire officials said. That person's status was unknown Wednesday.
