Weekend Weather: After Stormy Week, More Rain Still Possible

If you’re looking for a break from the rainy weather this weekend you may get your wish.

But you may not.

Showers and thunderstorms are still in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service, though the chances for precipitation will be much lower than they were during the week.

Highs will be in the upper 80s and the chance for rain is 30 percent or less on Saturday and Sunday.

Here’s the forecast from the National Weather Service:

• Friday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
• Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.
• Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
