BUFORD, GA — A 27-year-old Gainesville woman is facing multiple charges after police accused her of driving under the influence on the wrong side of the road.

Gwinnett County Police on Wednesday released dash camera footage, which police said shows Yuris Garcia Galvez attempting to make a U-turn in front of an officer while going the wrong way around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Nelson Brogdon and Peachtree Industrial boulevards.

The officer performed a PIT maneuver, causing the woman's car to stop "before it could hit anyone head-on," police said.

Galvez was charged on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving on the wrong side of the roadway and fleeing or attempting to elude police, officers said. She was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail without incident, police said.
