4 Indicted On Charges They Sold Meth From Wendy's In Canton

The investigation conducted by Cherokee County drug agents found four employees at the fast food restaurant were allegedly selling meth.

CANTON, GA — Four former employees of a fast food restaurant have been indicted on charges they sold drugs from the eatery's Canton location. A Cherokee County grand jury this week indicted Zachary Jerome Donley, Kristal Dawn Hogan, Amanda Jean McCartney and Jeffery Levi Justus on charges stemming from an undercover operation carried out by narcotics agents at Wendy's on Riverstone Parkway.

Donley and Hogan were indicted on four counts of sale of methamphetamine, while Justus and McCartney were indicted on one count of possession of methamphetamine, court records show. Hogan was also indicted on a separate possession of meth charge, the indictment outlines.

The discovery came to light following an extensive investigation conducted by the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics squad related to allegations that drugs were being sold out of the restaurant located in the shopping center anchored by Ingles.

CMANS agents executed a search warrant Thursday, June 21 at the location, which forced the restaurant to temporarily halt operations. The investigation found that four employees — manager, a cook and two others — were "dealing small amounts of drugs out of the restaurant and had been doing so for several weeks," CMANS previously said.

Court records indicate an arraignment date has not been scheduled for the four defendants.
