Academic Bowl team won the Cherokee County championship and will compete in the regional championships Jan. 9. According to the Creekland website, the team consists of captain Sarah Buelow, Josh Whitley, John McPherson, Will Hood, Garrett Johnston, Grant Foster, Christopher Lipscomb, Andrew Jones, John Touchstone, Kelly Hart, Ben Vester, Miranda Bourdeau, Grant Howell and Connor McCann. Annabel Ballew, John Carter, John Jensen and Mark Nazemzadeh coach the team.
