Armed, Masked Man Robs KFC Employee In Canton: Cops
The robbery was reported early Monday at KFC/Taco Bell on Sixes Road.

CANTON, GA — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery of a KFC employee Monday morning in Canton. Deputies were dispatched to KFC/Taco Bell at 3750 Sixes Road around 7:30 a.m. Oct. 22 and met with an employee who recounted the incident.
According to an incident report, the employee said he arrived at work and began to prepare the store for business. After completing that task, he said he took deposits for Saturday and Sunday nights out to his vehicle in the parking lot to the east of the restaurant.
After opening the door of his vehicle, the employee said he was pushed into his car by an unknown man wearing a mask and a dark-colored hoodie. This individual told the employee to "put everything in your pockets on the seat," according to the report.

According to the report, the employee, who was alone at the time of the robbery, said there should have been at least two employees on hand for the early morning shift at that time: one to check around the business for any signs of forced entry and the other to "standby and call 911 if needed."
A deputy checked around the employee's car and did not see any foot prints in the grass, which was covered in dew at the time. There was also an undisturbed spider web in the grass behind the victim's car.
"No other signs indicating a direction of travel could be found," the deputy said.
Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jay Baker said the case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 770-928-0239.
